Our Vendors
So far my vendors have been fantastic. I don't have reviews yet of course, but I wanted to list my vendors rather than make a whole bunch of seperate pages for a few words :)
Photography
We are thrilled to have hired Ron Miller to shoot our wedding. PLEASE check out his blog HERE. His pictures are amazingly gorgeous. He was definitely a splurge, but beautiful and artistic photography was my number one desire. For his quality of work, we would have spent nearly twice as much back home. So that's how we justified it. We have him and his assistant for 8 hours. We will be doing photos around the strip before our ceremony, starting around 1:00, and we'll have him until 9, which should allow him to capture the first hour or so of dancing and partying. We also have an engagement shoot with him. We are thinking of doing that in a more natural environment, to contrast with our urban wedding photos.
Video
One of the things we loved about the package we originally booked at the Flamingo was that a video (and web broadcasting) was included. When we moved, we had to consider how important a video was to us. We decided not to risk regret over not having our ceremony and other important moments recorded. Once we started looking for videographers, it became apparent that we could totally blow our budget if we really wanted to. There are some AMAZING videographers out there. It's hard for me to settle for less than the best, but I had to. I found Langdon Video and they worked their package (closer) into my price range by cutting out pre-ceremony coverage. I wanted ceremony and reception coverage because we're doing picture before the ceremony and I don't need video of that.
Floral
Yes, I have a whole page for flowers, so check it out to hear more about my fantastic floral designer, Angel at Roxi Floral.
Entertainment
We booked All Night Long Entertainment for DJ services. They were on the Platinum's preferred vendor list and they have been great to work with so far. Their communication is really fast and they had no problem changing times, adding ceremony coverage, and accomodating my special requests (like my dad wanting to bring in some Persian music to be played). They have given me discounts every step of the way because of their relationship with the Platinum Hotel (and maybe they do that no matter your location, but it sure feels good!).
